[Tech] Doing a Reno.... on my Arcade Stick?

After a short conversation about making a joystick controller, I feel like redoing my current acrylic case. It was built originally intended for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but I stopped playing the game pretty quick. All it does now is serve to relieve urges of playing with one from time to time.

Top Panel

 Bottom Panel

She's supposed to be holding a gun, but it now looks like she's handing you a lollipop. I spent so much time drawing that gun too!

The blond beauty is Trish, and the guy in the back is Dante. They're both from the Devil May Cry series. Her body for the most part was traced from the official illustration of her for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but I did rearrange what her arms are doing so it's not entirely a trace. The enormous sword on her back is traced, as well as the sword Dante's gripping. Dante on the other hand was drawn from scratch. Again, I forgot to consider the layout as both guns are covered by the hardware. The bottom panel is a trace of the logo and character icons. The ironic part is that this side turned out better than the top. Regardless, I'm not playing MvC3 anymore and with that I may as well change it to something more neutral.

The parts in this stick include a Sanwa JLF joystick, Seimitsu screw-in buttons with clear plungers, and the same buttons with solid colour plungers installed on the side of the case.

I can try to keep the theme to Red/Black/Yellow since the bands on the side are paint on the inside surface which I've declared permanent thanks to the support posts glued into place on the inside, but I almost want to change that up too. Before I slipped in the artwork, I had a plain white surface, which while colourless, looked super clean and industrial-modern thanks to the screws and joystick's chrome finish:

I almost want to make the stick entirely white with a cool graphic on the bottom right quadrant. We'll see though, if I can't remove those support beams, then I'll have to work with the firmly established colour scheme. Otherwise, I'm free to do whatever I please.

Other than that, I want to replace the 6 buttons with buttons by Sanwa since they have a softer less rigid feel. I also feel like inputs get dropped a lot. Maybe that's just the way I press buttons and the microswitches can't keep up with me.

This project hasn't been officially announced yet. I want to, but I may not depending whether or not I will be able to sell off the current buttons.
