Today that changes. The park is home to plenty of wildlife and fairly distant from city roads despite being in the center of the city. It's a great place to hike, jog or bike along the few trails available, one of which continues past the conservancy up north and down south to other locations.

Flower beds. Haven't seen those in a while.









It's hard to believe there's such a view while still in a city.


With any wilderness, finding animals is always a challenge of mine.

That's unfortunately the best shot I got at a woodpecker.


That's a rather interesting break.
Topping off the hike, my sister and I swung back to the same trail to head back to the car and this time,
we found and put the spotlight on this squirrel!

I think it's a squirrel.


I see it's got on a small tag. Or it's got itself some bling.
